Basic plot - Xander takes a trip to Roswell, and meets a girl on the flight there. This is my Buffy and Roswell High crossover, so I give you three guesses to who the girl is!

Xander handed his plane ticket over at the terminal and began his walk towards the aircraft. In the distance he could hear a cell phone ringing, with one of those really annoying tones, it fact it was really loud, then he realized it was actually his own. Digging around in his pocket a moment he found it.

"Hello?" He glanced at the screen to check who it was. "Willow?"

"Hey," She replied sweetly. "Where are you? I just dropped by your house and it was empty."

"Well actually I'm about to board a aeroplane. Didn't I tell you I was going away for a couple of weeks?" He paused. "I'm sure I did, I told Buffy."

"Nope, you didn't tell me. Thanks a lot, Xand." Willow giggled on the other end of the phone. "It doesn't matter anyway. So where are you heading? And it better not be anywhere I want to go or you're in serious trouble!"

Xander took the phone away from his ear for a minute as he stepped into the aircraft, the hostess before him grinned brightly.

"Good afternoon sir, if you'd like to take your seat and fasten your safety belt we will be tasking off shortly." She glanced down at his ticket and directed him to the left.

Xander returned her smile and nodded then started in the direction she'd showed him, putting the phone back to his ear he spotted a seat. "Will, you still there?"

"Yes, I'm still here. So where are you going to?" She asked a little tiresomely.

Sitting down in the seat he'd spotted Xander placed his rucksack underneath his seat then fastened his safety belt. "I'm going to New Mexico, well Roswell if you want to be more specific. You remember my cousin Jade Harris, well she lives there, I'm visiting her for the holidays. God, I swear I told you."

"And I swear you didn't, get over it, it doesn't matter. I'll leave you to your flight in peace now okay." Willow said.

"Okay, see ya soon. I'll call you when I get there."

"'Kay, bye." Willow whispered then hung up.

Reverting his attention back to the plane Xander glanced to the person sitting next to him, she was utterly gorgeous, why on earth didn't he notice her when he sat down? She had long, straight, silky, brown hair, dark chocolaty eyes pretty much the same as his, she was slim and was wearing a knee length white sun dress with tiny blue flowers.

Of course she wasn't paying any attention to him, why would she do that? No other girl ever did, why would she be any different? He watched her for a moment as her eyes glided along the pages of the book she was reading. Maybe he could try and start a conversation, it was worth a shot, she could only ignore him.

Xander licked his lips and took a deep breath. "Hi." Good place to start, always a good place to start.

Her dark eyes rose above the top of her hardback book as she lowered it to her lap. "Hey." She smiled softly at him then closed her book and dropped it on top of her travel bag.

* Okay, she spoke to me, that's good right? * Xander thought. "Umm, my names Xander..." He muttered, regretting it immediately.

"Liz." She said softly. "Is my name." Then she laughed softly and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"Well I figured if we've gotta spend the entire journey sitting next to each other I might as well introduce myself." Xander said to her and tried to smile without looking goofy.

"That is unless one of us wants to move." Liz said and reached up for the buzzer to get the air hostess.

"Damn," Xander cursed under his breath, "I knew I should of kept quiet."

Liz touched his arm, Xander nearly jumped a mile. "I don't want to move, don't panic. You don't do you?"

"Oh, God no!" * Okay a little too desperate Harris! * Xander cringed after his outburst. "I mean no not really, I can deal with sitting next to a gorgeous, funny girl."

Her eyes lit up like two lamps burning in the dark. "You think I'm gorgeous?"

"Well it could have just been a slip of the tongue, or you misheard me, or... yeah I think you're gorgeous." Xander admitted rather sheepishly.

Liz's soft smile turned into a stunning grin. "So are you going to Roswell for the holidays or do you live there?"

Xander raised an eyebrow at her in what he hoped was a sexy way. "I'm here for the holidays, why you so curious, huh?"

"Just making conversation I guess. I live there with my parents, they own this cafe called the Crashdown, it's an alien theme place, really tacky. You know the kind of thing?" She stared at him a moment, then continued speaking. "I work there, I have to I suppose."

"And the reason you're telling me where you work is?" He laughed.

Liz got straight to the point. "In case you might want to drop in and see me while you're here in my wonderful city." Her eyes lit up again, in that way Xander had now labelled as sexy. "Maybe have a soda with me, or ice-cream or well..." She looked to the window as the plane soared through the air.

Xander followed her gaze, and was actually shocked to see clouds. He'd been that engrossed by Liz that he hadn't even realized they'd taken off. "So, as we know each other a little better now can I have the pleasure to know your sir name?"

"Parker." Liz whispered still watching the misty clouds sail past the glass. "Liz Parker, you?"

"Xander Harris. What brought you to California then?" He asked beginning to get seriously interested in this girl. "Anything really interesting?"

"Science." She answered him simply. "A national science exhibition. I'm really interested in all that sort or stuff."

"Oh, right. You still at school?"

She reverted her attention and dreamy eyes back to him. "Yes, I take it you're not then?"

"No I graduated two years ago." * Hmm, age difference! * He thought then looked out of the window again.

* * *

Liz stared at the doors to the Crashdown, she could see Maria  stood behind the counter, the little glittery balls that made up her antenna headband sparkling underneath the spotlights adorning the ceiling.

"Come on," She said enthusiastically and grabbed hold of Xander's hand. "I want you to meet my best friend, I think you'll really like her you have the same sense of humour."

Xander was a little bewildered so saying anything was completely out of the question, he just nodded and followed obediently. Actually he wasn't even sure how he'd ended up at Liz's family's cafe, one moment he was on the plane the next outside the Crashdown cafe. "I... uh I have to call someone..." He blurted out remembering his promise to Willow.

Liz turned and looked at him. "Well you can use my phone, it's upstairs." Then she dragged him through the doors.

"But it's kinda private..." He whispered. * Great Xander, your love for Willow shows through now! Just great! * "...I have to call my friend, that is a girl."

Liz shot a look to him and let go of his hand as she reached the counter. "Maria, I want you to meet someone." She said turning to a girl behind the counter.

The girl, Maria, turned around her blue eyes glittering ferociously. "Oh, yeah." She leaned across the counter and stared directly at Xander, it was then it occurred to him that this girl had the most amazing lips he'd ever seen.

"This is Xander, he's from L.A." Liz said proudly as if she was introducing a new boyfriend or something.

Maria grabbed Liz's arm and pulled her away from Xander, and whispered. "I leave you alone for one minute and you go looking for new guys, what's happening with Max?"

Xander listened closely even though he knew he wasn't meant to be, then decided to interrupt this little whispering session. "Well you know girls I could stand here all day, but you know I have other things to do such as ring my..." He paused a moment. "...My girl." * Okay that sounded seriously jock like. * He thought cursing himself. * I'm hanging around with Riley and his friends way too much. *

"Oh, yeah... right." Liz sighed and started towards the kitchen. "Come with me." She then led him into the kitchen and to a staircase. "The phones at the top of the stairs, take as long as you want."

Now that was girl code for, 'Don't come down for five, I need to talk about you with my friend!' Xander ignored it and started up the stairs. "Thanks." He said and looked back at Liz, she'd gone already! Xander got to the top of the stairs and saw the phone, he picked up the receiver and dialled Willow's number.

On the third ring she picked up. "Xander?" She asked straight away. "Is that you?"

"Yeah it's me, desperate for me to ring then?" He asked with an innocent laugh. "If it helps at all I really miss you!"

"God I miss you too, you've only been away a few hours. How am I gonna cope with two weeks?" She sounded really upset. "Can't you come home early? For me, Xand?"

* * *

Liz picked up the extension line, well the cordless, and pressed the secrecy button. She wanted to hear this conversation.

Maria moved closer to listen too. "We shouldn't really be doing this Liz."

"I know but I'm interested." She admitted and listened again.

* * *

"I wish I could, but my cousin has been excited about my visit, and apparently Auntie May has plans. I'm stuck here." Xander could hear Willow beginning to sob on the other end. "Will, is everything okay?"

"No!" She said, but practically squealed it. "I want to be with you, my parents are arguing their marriage is falling apart. I can't cope." She sniffed again.

Xander thought for a moment. "I know what, you could fly over here, I'm sure my Auntie May wouldn't mind another guest. She's really likes you too."

"I thought she only had one spare room?" Willow whispered her tears dying down a little. "Where am I gonna sleep?"

"You can share with me, I like sleeping with you you're like a hot water bottle." And Xander meant that, he did like sleeping next to Willow even though he never got to hold her while they slept or caress her face. * Off topic Harris, she's your best friend! *

Willow giggled. "And I like sleeping with you..."

* * *

Liz whipped the phone away from her ear and turned her back to Maria. "I don't want to hear anymore."

Maria, still listening, glared at Liz. "Why it's only just getting good? And so what, he has a girlfriend I'm sure Max will be happy about that!"

"Maria, Max and I are not together anymore it's none of his business if I date other guys."

"You were considering this guy as dating material?" Maria asked her eyes widening as she listened.

"Well he's kind of sweet I guess-"

Maria squealed and started giggling. "You picked a bad time to stop listening."

* * *

"I never thought I'd hear that from you." Xander gasped after Willow's last comment, it's not everyday you hear a girl admit she's desperate to make love to you. "You are?"

"Yes." She gasped. "Xander I'm gonna have to go, the sooner I get off the phone the sooner I can be with you."

And Xander was looking forward to that intensely. "Why were you looking for me earlier?"

"Oh, I wanted to seduce you!" She said matter of factly then burst out into a fit of giggles. "No I just wanted to escape my parents, that's all."

"Right well I'll let you begin your journey to me then, and believe me I look forward to it."

"Me too. Okay bye, I'll ring you when we're about to land." She hung up straight away Xander could imagine her throwing things into a case.

* * *

Liz stared at the doors to the kitchen, Maria had told her that Xander had finished his conversation. As soon as she saw him near the door she rushed over. "Xander, your cell phone started ringing!" She declared, it was a complete lie. "It said Auntie May."

Xander glanced down at his watch and cursed. "I should have been there an hour ago she's probably worried, well girls I'm gonna have to leave you." He said and grabbed his rucksack from the counter. "Maybe I'll pop in sometime."

"Look forward to it." Maria said and watched him walk out of the door.

Liz turned to her. "What exactly did they say that I missed? Why did I have to send him away?"

"Well it was something about the thing you do as a couple when you're truly in love." Liz frowned at her a little confused, Maria elaborated. "Sex, my dear Liz, sex!"

"Oh!" Liz gasped. "Sorry, I'm not with it today!"

* * *

Xander dropped his rucksack to his temporary bed and sighed, soon he'd be sharing this room and bed with Willow. The room was fairly plain, white walls, pale blue blinds on the windows, pale blue sheets on the bed with white flowers, wooden floor, huge vase of blue flowers, you could tell it was a guest room.

"Xander, honey." His Aunties voice came from behind him, he spun and stared at her. "Would you like a drink?"

He nodded, then remembered that he hadn't asked her about Willow yet. "Auntie May, can I ask you something?"

"Of course sweetie."

Okay that was it she seriously treated him like he was still fifteen, she'd have to get over that. "You remember Willow, my best friend?" Auntie May nodded. "Well her parents are having a few problems at the moment and I told her she could come here, and stay in this house, in this room, in this bed... with me, is that okay?"

By the look on Auntie May's face it wasn't okay, not one bit, this had probably shocked her a little. Her little nephew Xander was sharing beds with girls, and not just any girl, his best friend Willow from when he was tiny. The little innocent girl who used to follow him about with a Barbie doll in one hand and a lollipop in the other. His Auntie closed her eyes a moment. "Of course it's okay." She whispered gently.

"Great!" Xander said then went back to unpacking his suitcase.

* * *

Eight thirty in the evening and Xander's cell phone began to ring. "Will, hey." He answered cheerily and quickly got up from the bed. "You want me to come and get you?"

"Yes please." She said sweetly on the other end. "How far are you from the airport?"

"About ten minutes or so, so I'll see you there soon!" He raced down the stairs and into the living room.

"Bye, Xand." She said and ended the call.

Xander took the phone from his ear, his Auntie, Uncle, and cousin were staring at him. "Can I borrow your car?" He asked quickly before they could protest.

His Uncle Ralph looked up from his newspaper then dug around in his pocket for the keys. "You can borrow it on one condition." He said sternly.

"And what's that?" Xander asked and started fidgeting, he was desperate to go and pick up Willow.

"You don't smash it up!" His Uncle Ralph said then tossed him the keys. "Jade go with him okay."

"I can drive a car Uncle-" Xander began

"Jade, drive!" He added at the end.

Jade leaped up and grabbed Xander tightly by the arm pulling him out the house, it was then he actually noticed her very pink hair for the first time. "Come on then cuz, lets go fetch this girlfriend of yours."

"She's not my-"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. But I bet you two still screw every other night 'cause the chemistry that's between you is too intense, am I right, or am I right?" Jade interrupted and hopped into the car.

"Well, not yet-"

Jade raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Not yet? I can not imagine this, you Xander Harris my little cousin entangled in a confusing lustful one night stand."

Xander looked to his feet. "Willow could never be a one night stand, she means too much to me!"

Jade stared at her cousin sat next to her in the car, he looked hurt. "Xan, if you love her just tell her and get it over and done with, she won't be around forever you can't just keep waiting!"

Jade was the only person that called him Xan, she had since they were able to talk, and how did she know what he was feeling about Willow? "Hmm..."

She ignored his slightly pathetic attempt at an answer and pulled the car out of the drive. "I'm not gonna talk about the soppy love stuff anymore it's boring, let's get back onto the sex!"

"I can't talk to you about that stuff, you're a relative!" Xander exclaimed a little shocked Jade never used to be like this.

"Oh, come on, you can tell me anything, nothing can shock me!" Xander raised an eyebrow at her, as if to say, 'You wanna bet!' "Oh, so you do have skeletons in your closet! I can read your mind you know, you're thinking how much you want to hit me!"

They started laughing. "Am I that transparent?"

"You're also thinking about kissing Willow at the airport!"

"I am so not!" Xander laughed feebly.

* * *

Xander and Jade wandered into the airport waiting room just as Willow stepped in on the other side of the room. Jade never remembered Willow looking like that, her silky red hair fell to her shoulders where it curled under neatly, and you could see her emerald eyes glittering from the opposite side of the room. She was wearing a pale green knee length summer dress with lemon coloured spirals in the occasional place, and a denim jacket covering her shoulders. "Love of your life ten 'o' clock. "She whispered in Xander's ear.

Xander glanced across and a huge grin spread across his face. "Will!" He shouted.

Willow's eyes locked onto them and she smiled back, but a little more shyly, she obviously hadn't expected Jade to be there. "Hey." She replied and walked across to them. Dropping her cases at Xander's feet she looked at Jade eyes widening. "Jade?"

"Yep, that's me! Like the hair?" Jade smiled and ran her hand through her bright hair. "Got bored of the trademark Harris dark brown."

"Well it's defiantly different, I haven't changed much I'm afraid." Willow looked at Xander and smiled again, he smiled back.

Jade noticed the tiny exchange and decided to move the conversation along. "Okay kids lets get out of here, it's getting late."

Xander nodded and grabbed Willow's cases. "M' lady your chariot awaits." He whispered to Willow.

* * *

Willow opened one of her cases and started to take out the contents. She could feel Xander watching her every move, it was beginning to creep her out. She turned sharply and looked him in the eye. "What?"

Xander shuffled on the chair where he was sat. "Are you okay Will? 'Cause if you wanna talk about anything that's going on with your mom and dad, I'm here to listen."

Willow laughed and sat down on the bed. "I'd never thought I'd hear the day when you said you were here to listen, if Buffy were here now she'd die. It's okay, I don't need to talk about it I just needed to get out!"

"Your mom and dad didn't mind you just taking off?" Willow's parents were normally very overprotective, so they probably would have blown up.

"I didn't tell them, I left a note."

"Becoming quite the rebel eh, Will?" Xander got up and walked over to her just as the door opened behind him.

Jade peered her head around the door. "Hey, suppers ready. Mom wants you down now."

* * *

Willow stared down at her meal, she wasn't going to be able to eat it she'd already eaten on the plane, glancing back up she saw Xander picking at his too, he looked miserable.

"Okay." Auntie May broke the silence. "As you two are staying here for two weeks in the same room, we're going to have to set a few ground rules."

Uncle Ralph joined the rule making. "I know you're both adults but I want you in this house by eleven every night and in bed by half past, no excuses-"

"Yes," May whispered. "I want you up by eight for breakfast, we always have breakfast together whatever time we've got to be out of the house." Jade rolled her eyes. "Then there's the matter of sleeping arrangements, Ralph's going to put the fold up bed in the room with you, we don't want you sleeping in same bed."

Xander bit his lip. "Anything else?" He asked and dropped his fork to his plate, he'd noticed Willow looking a little sick.

A moment later Willow jumped out of her chair and raced for the stairs while muttering. "Excuse me."

The whole table sat in silence as they heard Willow bang up the stairs, Xander slowly got to his feet. "Umm, she wasn't feeling too good probably the aeroplane food. Okay if I follow her?"

"That's fine honey." His Auntie smiled. "I'll bring up a glass of water for her in a minute."

"Thanks." Xander added then dashed up the stairs after Willow. The second floor was quiet, Xander glanced around looking for her then found her in their room lying on the bed. "Will, are you all right?" He sat himself beside her then lay back next to her.

She rolled over to look at him. "Yeah, dodgy aeroplane food I guess, I feel better lying down. Your Auntie and Uncle are a bit strict, I never realized."

"Me neither, oh well looks like the all night party's off limits then." Xander smiled then leaned in to kiss her, and she kissed him back. The kiss was soft and gentle, Xander  pulled Willow closer to him until their bodies were touching.

"Willow, are you feeling-" May's voice started a sentence but never finished it. "Okay, Xander I think myself and your Uncle need to have the talk with you!"

Xander pulled away from Willow and stared at his Auntie. "The talk?"

* * *

"One main rule in this house-" Uncle Ralph began.

"I see you kissing anyone, looking at anyone, or even thinking about anyone, I may be forced to put you to death. And you don't even wanna know what I'll do if I catch you doing the actual deed!"

"Thank you Jade, leave now." Jade looked at her father stricken then walked out of the room.

* * *

Willow turned the water on in the shower and felt the warmth splash onto her face and the gush of water spill down her body. She tried not to think about this whole relationship with Xander that was beginning to develop. Even though they'd shared only one kiss it was becoming seriously complicated already.

* I wonder where Xander is? * She thought as she let the water wash over her face, and immediately cursed herself for thinking about him. But it was impossible, after that last kiss she had been left tingling all over, she needed to kiss him again, and right now!

"No!" Willow sighed. "You told yourself you wouldn't think about it... about him." She whispered to herself then turned her back to the water and wet her hair.
